There are 2 kinds of people: Those who feel like not eating or preparing any breakfast in the morning; and those (like me) who wake up thinking of a marvellous & big breakfast –actually we go to bed dreaming of the breakfast 😛
If you are a person in the first group, you will like this recipe for several reasons:
- You can prepare it the night before, so in the morning you just need to take it and eat it.
- It’s light and easy to eat, even if you don’t feel very hungry.
- This small jar has protein, slow carbs, fruits, good fat and fibre so it’s a very balanced breakfast.
- It’s delicious.
If you are starving in the mornings I recommend you to prepare a double portion or make this chia pudding for an afternoon-snack 😉
For 2 or 3 little jars:
1 cup (200 ml.) vegetable milk (oats, almond…)
3 tablespoons of chia seeds
1 handful of strawberries
1 handful of raspberries (or blueberries, cherries…)
200 gr. plain yogurt (or soja, coconut yogurt…)
3 tablespoons of granola (or oats flakes)
optional: a touch of stevia
Blend the milk with the strawberries. You can sweeten it with some drops of stevia if you like.
Add 3 tablespoons of chia, mix it and leave it in the fridge for 4 hours (or all night long).
Serve it in little jars or glasses: 3 or 4 spoons of chia pudding, a couple of spoons of yogurt, some granola or oats and fresh fruits to taste (raspberries, blueberries, cherries…)
Ready to eat!
Prepare the jars the night before and leave them in the fridge, so the next morning you just need to take it and eat it.
