Egg on a cloud

I recognize it: I woke up this morning in “mode tacky”.

So I prepared an “egg on a cloud” for breakfast…

In fact it’s just a baked egg. It takes a bit more work than a boiled or a sunny-side up egg but it is very cute, don’t you think? 😛

For 1 person:

1 egg

salt, black pepper

grated parmesan cheese, oregano…

…..

1 slice of toast

tomato, avocado

…..

Pre-heat the oven at 170 degrees.

Separate the yolk from the white of the egg.

Beat the egg white until firm –with the consistency of a meringue.

Flavour it with some grated parmesan and dried herbs.

Put baking paper on an oven tray and put the egg white on it making a little hole in the centre to place the yolk.

Add salt and pepper and bake it for 10 min. at 170 degrees until golden.

If you like the yolk a bit liquid, you can bake just the egg white and add the yolk when missing 3 min.

Serve it with a slice of toast, some cherry tomatoes, avocado… or whatever you like.

Ready to eat!
