Today 2 recipes, they are very, very, very easy to make & they match great with burgers 🙂
CARAMELIZED ONION JAM
Peel 4 or 5 onions and cut them in rings.
Put them in a pan with a tablespoon of olive oil and salt, cover it and poach them for 90 min. at low heat. Mix from time to time to make sure they are not sticking.
Without adding any sugar, the onion will caramelize with its own sugar.
Once it’s cool, you can put it in a jar and keep it in the fridge for some days, as it would be a homemade jam.
As you know, I like kale because it brings us lots of good things with nearly no calories 😉
… and these chips are really crunchy and tasty.
Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees.
Cut with the hands the leaves of kale in pieces of 4 or 5 cm. (removing the stem as it’s too hard).
Distribute them on a baking tray with wax paper.
Add salt, garlic powder (if you like) and some olive oil (not too much!!).
Give a “massage” with the hands.
Bake them for 10 – 15 min. at 180 degrees (be careful, they can be burnt quickly).
These chips in my home only last some minutes… as you can see a little man can’t wait for me to take the picture 😉
